Weidenhammer Names McFerren Director of Human Resources
Reading, PA – April 29, 2020 – Weidenhammer has named E. Joy McFerren, SPHR, SHRM-SCP Director of Human Resources. “We are thrilled to add Joy to our team, as she brings extensive experience and a track record of recruiting and developing outstanding teams,” states John P. Weidenhammer, President.
In this position, she is responsible for Weidenhammer’s recruiting, hiring, benefits management, and all human resource management activities to ensure that Weidenhammer is a best-in-class employer of IT talent. She is responsible for originating and leading HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce who promote the Weidenhammer values.
Prior to joining Weidenhammer, she most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources for AMC Health, New York, New York.
McFerren has her undergraduate degree from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA, and her Master’s from Millersville University. She is a Senior Certified Professional in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and is SPHR Certified (Senior Professional Human Resources) by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). McFerren is also an adjunct professor at Penn State University – Berks Campus.
