Weidenhammer’s Response to COVID-19

This article is to outline Weidenhammer’s response, action plan, and client expectation to the Coronavirus/COVID-19, situation. Here you will find answers to the state of our business and what that means to our clients, employees, and vendors.

Current Climate

On March 16th, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of “non-essential” businesses.  Weidenhammer considers the mission-critical services that we are providing to our clients as essential to their business operations. For companies like Weidenhammer, the Governor has strongly encouraged that employees of professional service businesses telecommute.  As five of our physical office locations are in PA, we are following the Governor’s directions.  We have made the decision to close all of our physical Pennsylvania offices and have instructed all of our other offices across the U.S. to do the same. As of the end of business on Monday the 16th, Weidenhammer was fully operational with a 100% remote staff.

Our Plan

Weidenhammer has executed our business continuity plan, which has allowed us to successfully transition our team members to a telecommuting mode with full access to our corporate communication/collaboration platforms and secure access to all business applications. We are well prepared to have our team members work remotely and have provided them all the equipment they may need.  This also enables us to provide a seamless experience for our customers.

We understand that during these times, communication is essential. We are in communication with our staff, our partners, and our clients on a regular basis. We are monitoring updates from our government, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to adjust our plans and provide updates accordingly.

Our Clients

For our clients, they should expect business as usual from Weidenhammer. We are in communications with our partners to make sure we understand any delays or issues that may arise from manufacturing and distribution of certain technologies. Weidenhammer will be sure to understand and relay all information we get to our customers, and how it may or may not influence their current projects.

We are also currently working with a number of clients to enable their business continuity plans, as well as getting their environments up and running to support remote access capabilities. Should you find yourself in need of Weidenhammer’s support, please visit our support page.

Wrap-up

We are committed to keeping the safety and welfare of our employees and their families, as well as our clients and their businesses, our top priority. As our country prevails through this very difficult and fluid situation, we will continue to monitor the situation, perform, and communicate as necessary.
