Alvernia University Honors John Weidenhammer

Reading, PA – October 11, 2019 – Alvernia University has awarded John Weidenhammer the Franciscan Award, given annually to a person who selflessly gives their time, talents and resources for the betterment of others and is presented for exceptional service to Alvernia. John has supported many local nonprofit organizations including the Reading Hospital, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, Reading Public Museum, Berks Business Educational Coalition, and Berks Alliance, just to name a few.

The award was presented on October 10th by Alvernia President, John Loyack at the President’s Dinner, on the campus of Alvernia University.  Awards were also given to Mary Kay Bernosky, CEO of Safe Berks, John Wanner, President of Wanner Associates, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
