Version 1.7.1
Installation
- You may need to manually restart the MSE AppPortal Processing Service
after upgrading to version 1.7.1.
Report Generation
- When attempting to run the Comment Verification Report for a school you
may have to select the school twice.
- The Comment Verification Report does not show or print multiple languages
if they are used.
- Report cards configured with different layout options should not be
generated together. The first layout will be applied to all. For example if
most report cards in a school are configured as landscape-three-column, and
one is tri-fold, then the report cards should be generated by grade level
rather than school.
- Multi-column, graded-once sections should be configured such that all the
objectives in one row are the same grading type and have the same type face
options. If not, then the settings for the first objective will be applied to
the rest of the row.
- Vertically displayed legends should be configured to display in two or
more columns. It will not display correctly if only one column is specified.
- The option to include only those users with an expired password on the
User Listing report does not work.
- The option to show/hide blank objectives does not apply to Narrative
(Comment) sections on the report cards.
- Student names appear twice in the heading of the Grade Verification Report
when run for a report card that has summary reporting periods.
- Image marks on the Grade Verification Report display as the text value
that is entered in the mark field of the grading scale.
- The current school year teacher will print on the report card for a
student when printing a report card for previous school years.
Report Card Setup
- When editing Formatting Options, clicking on a different tab such as Basic
Information without saving settings will cause all formatting changes to be
lost.
- The Grading Scale column should be labeled Grading Type on the
Sections/Objectives tab in Report Card Setup. The same is true on the
objective list page when editing marks by objective.
- When associating a report card section with a course, the school name does
not appear next to the course name correctly.
- The tri-fold and bi-fold report card layouts are designed to be a one page
(front and back) report card. Forcing content to multi-pages will have
unexpected results.
- The option to display the student name on all pages of the report card
does not apply to the tri-fold and bi-fold layouts.
- Portrait (both one-column and two-column) report cards may cut off the
student ID if it is set to be displayed in the header.
- The Start New Column With Section option for report card sections
works only for sections that would be displayed on side one of the first page.
Sections which will be rendered after the first page should not be set to
start a new column.
- Reporting period codes should contain only alphanumeric characters and
underscores.
- The Logo Image option on the Formatting Options page should not
be available for the two-column, portrait layout.
SASI Import
- The SASI import must be run for the school year currently being edited. If
the import is run for a previous/future year for administrative purposes, it
must then be run for the current year to reestablish the links between
students and staff members. This affects the mark entry pages.
User
Interface
- The checkbox list control displays as a line rather than a box when it is
empty. This affects the search control when nothing is selected. When at least
one item is selected it displays correctly. This is visible, for example, when
associating a user with a school.
- When viewing the import log file the mouse pointer may display as an hour
glass.
- When viewing text entered in a text area in view mode rather than in edit
mode, any new line characters will not be represented. However, they will be
stored in the database and displayed in reports.
- Quotation marks may not be used in the Organization Name used for
registering the application.
