The Associate Pre-Sales Technician will be responsible for supporting the Weidenhammer sales team throughout the sales process. This is a development role, and as such, this individual will work closely under the guidance and tutelage of a Sr. Solutions Architect. The employee will be responsible for – at the direction of the Sr. Solutions Architects – assisting those individuals in the gathering of client system information, recommending appropriate solutions, creating diagrams, conducting research, explaining value propositions and situational fits, and completing statements of work and bills of materials.
During the sales process, the Pre-Sales Technician will focus on providing product updates, completing in-depth networking discussions as well as delivering presentations and product demonstrations.
Pre-Sales Technicians are expected to keep up on the latest Cisco product announcements, technologies, and architectures to convey solutions to customers that will have positive impact on their businesses. The individual will also be responsible for assisting Sr. Solutions Architects and the sales team with the sales process, to include creating RFP responses, diagrams, and detailed documentation.
This position will be focused in unified communications, security, LAN switching, wireless, and routing technologies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full time / Monday-Friday, at least 40 hours per week
Regional (southeastern Pennsylvania, NJ, DE)
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates or bachelor’s degree with an IT Focus
Technical education / technical schooling with an IT focus
- Basic background in network and IT principles
- Some IT experience
- Internship or co-op from college or technical school would be considered
Preferred Education and Experience
- Any Cisco or CompTIA Certifications – networking focus. Examples:
- CCT, CCENT, CCNA
- Network+, Security+
- Understanding of how Cisco products and solutions work together as a comprehensive solution to meet customer requirements.
